At Clinic Copenhagen on Amager we meet many clients who start with Botox in one area, crow's feet or forehead, and after a while they notice a new concern. When the crow's feet are softer, the frown line between the brows suddenly appears more pronounced. It's not that more wrinkles have appeared, it's that the eye notices the area that hasn't been treated.

What is full-face Botox?
Full-face Botox means we treat up to 13 different areasof the face in a single session. It's the same molecule (botulinum toxin type A) and same injection technique as targeted treatments, but instead of focusing on one area, we work with the entire face as a whole.
The idea is simple: the face isn't a collection of separate wrinkles. It's a connected anatomy where muscle groups influence each other. A full-face approach adjusts multiple muscle groups at once, so the result becomes harmonious and natural, not a “spot-treated” face.
At our clinic, full-face Botox typically takes 45 minutes and costs 4,000 DKK.
Which 13 areas can be included?
Not every client needs all 13 areas, we tailor the treatment to your anatomy.
Upper face
- Forehead lines, horizontal wrinkles
- Frown lines / glabella (“the 11”), vertical lines between brows
- Crow's feet, fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes
- Brow lift, strategic Botox under the brow lifts subtly for a more open gaze
Mid-face
- Bunny lines, small horizontal lines on the bridge of the nose
- Gummy smile, Botox reduces upper lip movement, less gum showing when smiling
- Lip flip, slight relaxation around the lips gives a fuller appearance without filler
Lower face
- DAO (Depressor Anguli Oris), lifts mouth corners
- Mentalis, chin muscle
- Masseter, jaw muscle. V-shaped face + reduces teeth grinding
Neck and jawline
- Nefertiti Lift, Botox along the jawline and platysma muscle
- Platysma bands, vertical neck bands
- Hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating (if relevant)
When do you choose full-face over targeted treatment?
1. You have multiple concerns at once
If you see crow's feet, a pronounced frown line, and prominent forehead lines all at once, treating only one would make the others appear more obvious. Full-face gives a unified, harmonious result.
2. You want a balanced long-term maintenance
Many clients start with one area and gradually expand. If you know you want multiple areas treated over time, it's often both cheaper and more effective to do it together.
3. You're in your 40s or 50s with visible signs in several places
When you're in your late 30s or beyond, the skin typically shows ageing across multiple muscle groups simultaneously. A full-face approach addresses it holistically.
When you should NOT choose full-face:
- You're new to Botox and want to test the effect first (start with 1-2 areas)
- You have only one concern (a single crow's foot, for example), spend money targeted
- You have specific contraindications in some muscle groups
How the treatment works
Consultation first. We assess your facial anatomy in repose and movement, we ask you to smile, frown, scrunch the nose , to see which muscles are active. We mark planned injection points with a skin marker.
The treatment itself takes 45 minutes. We use fine cannulas and inject Botox at precisely the dose each area requires. The amount varies per area, eye surroundings need less than forehead, masseter requires more than glabella.
Free follow-up after 14 days. At the follow-up we assess together whether the dose is right. If one area needs a small adjustment, we do it at no extra cost.
What can you expect afterwards?
Visible effect from day 3-7. Full effect after 14 days.
Common side effects:
- Mild swelling for 1-3 days
- Possible small bruises where the needle was placed
- Mild tenderness in the treated areas
What to avoid for the first 24 hours:
- Intense exercise and hot yoga
- Sauna and steam bath
- Lying on your stomach
- Facial massage for 1 week
Durability: First time typically 3 months. Second time 4 months. From the third time onwards 4-6 months. Most clients have 2-3 full-face sessions per year.
Pricing
- Full-face Botox (up to 13 areas), 45 min, 4,000 DKK
- Follow-up 14 days later, 15 min, FREE
For comparison, 3-4 separate targeted treatments would typically cost 6,000-8,000 DKK and require multiple visits. Full-face is more strategic and economical if you have multiple areas. See full price list.
Frequently asked questions
Will my face look “frozen” after full-face?
No, when performed correctly. We deliberately leave 30-40% movement in each muscle group. You should still be able to smile, frown, and show emotion. The “frozen look” comes from over-dosing, that's an injector error, not a Botox error.
How many areas do I need?
We assess this together at the free consultation. Many clients have 6-9 areas treated, not all 13. It's about which areas give you the most value, not maximising the count.
Can I combine full-face Botox with filler?
Yes, it's common. Many clients combine full-face Botox with filler in the cheekbones, jawline, or lips for a complete harmonious result. We typically schedule Botox first so we can assess facial balance before adding volume.
Is full-face Botox safe?
Yes. It's the same molecule and technique as targeted Botox — just across more areas. We are registered with the Danish Patient Safety Authority (STPS), use only approved products, and have a responsible physician, Dr. Per, attached to the clinic.
How often do I need maintenance?
Typically 2-3 full-face sessions per year. Once you've found your optimal dose (after 2-3 treatments), the intervals get longer.
