Can men get Botox? Natural results in Copenhagen

Eva-Fatema · Cosmetic Nurse · May 2026

At our clinic in Copenhagen we see more and more men booking Botox treatments. When we started in 2018 it was rare. Today men make up a significant share of our Botox clients, and they largely have the same questions: “will it look natural?” and “will people be able to tell I've had something done?”. They're fair questions, because men don't want a “frozen look”.

Yes, men can also get Botox. At Clinic Copenhagen in Amager, Copenhagen, we treat men every week with Botox in the forehead, crow's feet, frown lines (glabella) and masseter (jaw). We adapt dose and placement to male anatomy, so the result stays discreet and masculine, not frozen or feminine.

Botox for men at Clinic Copenhagen, discreet and natural refresh

What is Botox for men?

Botox is botulinum toxin type A, a naturally occurring protein that temporarily relaxes specific muscles. When injected into the muscles that create dynamic wrinkles (crow's feet, forehead lines, vertical frown lines between the brows), it reduces the wrinkles without removing facial expression.

For men, the treatment typically focuses on two things:

  • Removing tiredness, especially under the eyes and on the forehead
  • Preserving masculinity, not changing expression or creating the feminine “lifted” look

We place Botox in smaller doses and at different anglesfor men, so eyebrows aren't lifted too high and the forehead doesn't become artificially smooth. The goal is a younger, fresher version of you, not a transformation.

Which areas do men typically treat?

1. Crow's feet

Those fine lines that form at the outer corners of the eyes when you smile. Men typically develop them 2-3 years earlier than women due to less use of sunglasses. Botox softens these lines while letting you keep your normal smile.

2. Forehead lines (horizontal wrinkles)

The lines that appear when you raise your eyebrows. Many men develop them from focusing on screens or from expressing concentration. Botox relaxes the muscle so forehead lines fade, but we do it carefully to avoid “heavy” eyebrows.

3. Frown lines (Glabella, the “11”)

The vertical lines between the eyebrows that many men develop early. They often make you look angry or stressed even when you aren't. Botox here is one of the most effective treatments. Clients report people saying “you look more relaxed”without knowing what's changed.

4. Masseter (jaw Botox / “broticox”)

This is the fastest-growing male treatment in 2026. We reduce the size of the jaw muscle (masseter). It's beneficial both cosmetically (a V-shaped face rather than square) and medically (reduces teeth grinding and tension headaches). Read our dedicated article on masseter Botox.

What's different for men?

Higher dose

Men have 30-40% more facial muscle mass than women. That means we typically use 20-30% more Botox per area to achieve the same effect. That's part of why male Botox costs slightly more.

Different placement

The “classic” female Botox pattern lifts the eyebrows to create an open, feminine expression. On men that would create a feminine look. We place Botox lower on the forehead and more conservatively at the crow's feet to preserve masculine eye shape.

More subtle relaxation

We deliberately don't fully block muscles. You should still be able to wrinkle your forehead a little. You should still be able to smile fully. The goal is to remove 60-70% of wrinkles, not all 100%.

What can you expect?

The treatment takes 30 minutes. We briefly discuss your goals, mark the points, and perform the injections. Most clients describe it as a light prick, barely painful. We use fine needles and can offer numbing cream if you prefer.

You can return to work right away. We recommend avoiding:

  • Intense sport for 24 hours
  • Sauna and hot yoga for 24 hours
  • Lying face-down for 4 hours
  • Facial massage for 1 week

Results come gradually. You'll see no change on day one, that's normal. Botox works from day 3-7, and you'll see full effect after 14 days.

Durability: 3-4 months at first treatment, 4-6 months from the second treatment onwards. Men with strong musculature may experience shorter durability until they find their optimal dose.

Frequently asked questions

Can men get Botox?

Yes. Men can have Botox in exactly the same areas as women (forehead, crow's feet, glabella, masseter). The difference lies in dose and placement, not in whether it's possible. At Clinic Copenhagen, men make up a growing share of our Botox clients.

Where can men get Botox in Copenhagen?

At Clinic Copenhagen on Saltholmsvej 3A, 2300 Copenhagen S (Amager). We are STPS-registered and have a medical director on staff. You can book a free consultation where we assess your areas and dose together before you decide.

How much does Botox cost for men?

At our clinic, Botox for men starts at 700 DKK for a smaller area. 1 area costs 1,000 DKK, 2 areas 1,800 DKK and full face (up to 13 areas) 4,000 DKK. Masseter (jaw Botox) costs 2,000 DKK. Men often sit at the higher end of the dose range, because facial musculature is stronger.

Is Botox different for men?

Yes. Men have 30-40% more facial muscle mass, so we typically use 20-30% more Botox per area. Placement is also different: we don't lift the eyebrows the way we do with women, and we leave more movement in the forehead and around the eyes to preserve a masculine expression.

How long does Botox last for men?

The first treatment typically lasts 3-4 months. From the second treatment onwards it lasts 4-6 months, because the muscles adapt. Men with strong musculature may see shorter durability until we find the optimal dose together.

Will people be able to tell I've had Botox?

If done correctly: no. You'll hear that you “look fresh”, “slept well”, or “have lost weight”. People can't point to what has changed, only that something looks more relaxed.

Will my face become “frozen” or expressionless?

Not when we do it right. We deliberately leave 30-40% movement in the muscles we treat. You should still be able to smile, frown, and show emotion. The “frozen look” you've seen on social media comes from over-dosing.

How often do I need treatment?

The first time typically lasts 3 months. The second 4 months. The third and onwards typically 4-6 months because the muscles adapt. Most men have 2-3 sessions per year.

Are there side effects?

Possible mild side effects: slight swelling for 1-2 days, possible bruising where the needle was placed. Rare side effects: temporary drooping eyelid or asymmetry (under 1% in the hands of an experienced injector). We offer a free follow-up after 14 days.

Can I combine it with filler or skinbooster?

Yes, it's common. Many men combine Botox with jawline filler (more defined jaw) or Profhilo (improved skin quality). We typically space treatments 1 week apart.
